is an XQuery
processing engine by using a unified general-purpose XML Query Algebra
named XML Algebra Tree (XAT).

The first
Rainbow Core v1.0 release includes
XAT tree generation, decorrelation, rewriting, schema cleanup and
execution components.

Extensions of
this Rainbow Core released in the future will cover features such as XML
Views, relational query execution, XML view management, native XML
storage and processing, and others.
