Progress Report for the week of September 4, 1997
Accomplishments:
We have successfully retrieved the source code from the cs ftp site. We have
also been able to compile it on the Alpha's and also in Linux with a couple
modifications. We have spent time using XmdvTool to get a feel for how it
works and what it can do. We have set up a basic web page. It currently
resides at http://www.cs.wpi.edu/~mow9704. We have created
htmlized versions of the
XmdvTool source code in order to study it better.
Questions:
- Are we making an application or an applet?
- Are we restricted to using only java 1.0 components or can we use 1.1
tool?
- How do we obtain a copy of the previous MQP?
- What are the limitation that you know exist within XmdvTool that we will
have to overcome when converting to Java? Ex. Limit of 20(?) dimensions that
can be graphed.
To Do List:
- Increase our quotas.
- Get old MQP write-up.
- Determine how to break up feature documentation.
- Find resources/links to put on web page.
