Progress Report for the week of September 11, 1997
Accomplishments:
We have all spend a lot of time with the XmdvTool program in our attempts to
better understand what it does. We are breaking up the program and determining what its functionality is. Jason is working with the brush toolbox and documenting all the options. Will is documenting the file menu, the data operations menu, and the zoom and color requestor options of the Display options Menu. Matt is documenting the Data Values, Glyph Key, Dimensional Stacking Key, and Statistics options in the Display options Menu. On Tuesday, September 9th, Matt attended an IEEE lecture on "Using Java in Image Processing Application Development" hosted by the Boston chapter of the IEEE Robotics and Automation society. We have expanded our MQP homepage and have outlined a schedule for A, B, and C terms for this project. We contacted the CCC about quotas and about being able to access each other's files and got a helpful response. It seems like there won't be too much of a problem to get our quota's increased, but we were wondering if we could still get a common area of space to work on. We also got a copy of Alan Martin's masters thesis and are currently reading through it.
Questions:
- Does our schedule look feasable?
- Can we get a common chunk of disk space where we can do our work?
- We are still having problems determining what dimensional stacking is.
To do List:
- Finish functionality documentation of XmdvTool
- Get the disk space issue resolved
- Find a way to place the functionality documentation online
